5 Things (Or So) This Week In Identity Security And Skills
October 13th, 2021
An old coach of mine used to jokingly say, "Don't give up. You can always be used as a bad example."
Now, although that seems a bit cruel by today's standards, it's the first thought that came to mind as I was going over the massive Twitch attack last week as if we needed more reminders to take security seriously?
Speaking of taking things seriously, Windows PC's are actively being attacked, again, with some new baddies, so it's time for another round of critical patches.
A new study announces a significant uptick in password stealing attempts, but there is still a considerable disconnect with large enterprises adopting an SSO solution? I suppose job security could be considered a silver lining?
Finally, I think we can all be pretty impressed by Captain Kirk finally making his way to the final frontier and see it live no less.
And just in time, too as it seems, we might be on the cusp of discovering new life, new civilizations, and strange new worlds, or at least radio waves.
Although this will still not take the place of my favorite William Shatner story, this one is definitely at the top of the list.
Live long and prosper!
